On Friday evening, three days after TVN's broadcast of hidden camera footage showing Law and Justice (PiS) deputies negotiating with Renata Beger from Self-defense, Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński has come forward and said that the behavior of his colleagues Adam Lipiński and Wojciech Mojzesowicz was inappropriate. He said that while they had good intentions in attempting to secure a majority for the cabinet, the whole situation exceeded the boundaries of a good taste and standards that are so immensely important for society. Kaczyński's speech came as somewhat of a surprise considering on Wednesday he rejected opposition accusations that it was an instance of political corruption. One of the widely commented events on Friday was also the interview given by Kaczyński to Rzeczpospolita in which he said that PiS would not lose power and also announced that his party is preparing counterattack. He denied, however, that it has something to do with the report on Military Information Services. |
